The following is fan reaction concerning the article posted earlier about the Basham Brother's comments on WWE.com about the Tough Enough series:

Heath Turner writes:
I understand exactly where the Bashem Brothers are coming from. They're saying they worked really hard to get to where they are today and they think they're not getting the attention they deserve. I mean look at it, they haven't been really big as of late and these tough enough contestants are coming up and taking ring time off what could be theirs. I mean especially seeing that they have them doing ridiculous things like the Torrie Wilson sex test. I mean yeah, I like to see half naked women as much as the next man but this is really just stupid.

Other Tough Enough Champions such as Maven I believe are a different case. While Maven was competing to be Tough Enough Champion, they didn't have him out in the ring doing stuff like this. None of the other ones did.

Despite winnning Tough Enough though it still hasn't been an easy plight for Maven. As you said with injuries, training, competing on Heat and such, before he was truely ready to compete in the main shows.

If the WWE really wants us to take this competition seriously though they really have to extract the digit and take it more seriously. I mean it's turned out like American Idol, complete and utter crap.

P.S Go maven the next WWE Champion :)

Thanks for your comments Heath. I certainly agree with you in part. However I think Triple H said it best: "No one in this company deserves anything just cause they have been in the business or around the business for a long time." While the Basham Brothers have been in the WWE for a stint now, and wrestled in the indys long before, they doesn't make them entitled to anyhting automatically. Furthermore, while you see my point of view concerning Maven, I honestly don't think that Doug and Danny were looking at it from our angle. Their point was clear: Tough Enough is a joke, always has been and always will be... and they have no respect for anyone that came out of Tough Enough because they are in it for the money and the free ride, and they have no respect for the business. Again, I think this is just incredibly ignorant for them to say. Maven is one of the more down to earth and noble guys in the back locker room. He has went through alot of the past few years (his injuries and losing his mother after a tough battle with cancer), but Maven continues to stay extremely greatful for everything that has happened to him and is respectful of that. I think that you see it maybe the way it should be looked at, but that Basham's are a little more one-sided in their beliefs.

As for the current contest, you are right, it is an absolute joke and is just completely ridiculous and if I were Al Snow, I would have never signed on again for something like this. I think it's almost as bad as the WWE Raw Diva contest and that is saying alot. Simply put however, they put down ALL of the Tough Enough contestants from all the seasons by generalizing, including Maven, and that was one of my main issues - the simple disregard for respect.
