Bottom Line review:
Before Eugene and William Regals tag team title defence, Maven’s backstage altercation with Eugene was shown. After Maven’s “viscous attack” was aired, Todd Grisham talked about how Maven’s frustrations have been building up and that Maven’s sudden change of character is a result of “Maven’s true colours coming out!”
My opinion, Raw preview + more!
It was great to see Maven as a heel; he always wanted to be a heel… I think that the WWE writers are going to give Maven a sense of direction with who they’re going to book him against… storyline-wise, BUT Maven will finally have a chance to run with something which enables him to really develop and morph into a new character.
On another note, mavenhuffman.com yesterday reported that Maven is going to be in a series of triple threat matches with Shelton Benjamin and Christian at house show events. As we all know WWE book in advance which will most likely mean that they’re going to drop the Maven/Eugene feud and have Maven gunning for the IC title!
RAW PREVIEW
Maven’s impressed a lot people at recent house show events over the weekend with the amount of heel heat he’s been receiving. In my opinion Maven will roll into RAW next week as one of the WWE’s main priorities as they will try to make him gain as much heel heat as possible on television. With Shelton Benjamin not really involved with anyone right now, the logical thing to do is to have Maven lay out Eugene and Regal at RAW and have Benjamin interfere in some kind of way which will then spark the Maven/Benjamin feud!
