Eugene Dinsmore (w/ William Regal) vs Maven

Does Maven have a new video? His reception from the crowd is mixed and not particularly loud yet. Maven offers a handshake to Eugene. He accepts. Regal leaves the ring. They lock up. Eugene gets a go-behind and a waistlock, reversed by Maven, erversed to a wristlock by Eugene, reversed by Maven, reversed by Eugene and he gets an armdrag out of an armwringer for two. Eugene channels Jimmy Valiant's dance, drawing a smile from Maven. They lock up. Headlock by Maven, reversed to an overhand wristlock by Eugene, to a snapmare, and he gets a bodyscissors and proceeds to roll around the ring with maven in the hold. Maven is off his game. Or maybe not. He's smiling. Headlock by Maven. Maven blocks a blind charge from Eugene and falls to the ground after running the ropes, acting like Regal just tripped him. Maven throws a fit in the ring and Regal gets tossed after Maven asks our referee, Jack Doan, to toss him. (This begins a soar of boos and chants like Maven just won the state of Florida and everyone demanded a recount). As Maven turns around, Eugene quickly gets back on the offensive, catching Maven off guard. Eugene gets a rollup for two, then gets a Northern Lights suplex for two. Maven congratulates him for coming that close. Maven: "Eugene. Two Times! That Close! Way to Go!" Eugene celebrats in Maven's praise which gives Maven a chance to catch his breath and think up a plan. Devilishly, he offers a handshake... accepted, and he gives a hard kick to the knee. That kills Eugene. Maven then continues with kicks to Eugene's knee in the corner, and even a dropkick to his back, pushing Eugene right into the turnbuckle. Maven hangs Eugene's bum knee over the second rope in the corner, shoves him backwards and stomps away on it. Viciously. He proceeds to stand on Eugene's throat for a five-count, drawing a DQ.

Winner: Eugene Dinsmore via disqualification (4:12)

Post-match, Regal runs back in for the save, but Maven goes out, grabs one of the tag belts, and waffles Regal with it as he's looking over Eugene. Solid "Maven sucks" chant! Mission accomplished. Maven poses with a smirk and then says "To hell with you" and hops out of the ring happy as can be.

I've got to honestly say that this almost topped Maven's night as GM for me. Wanting a heel turn for so long and finally getting one was spectacular. Last week was a tease, this week was the full course meal and I am sure there is more left where that came from. I really have not seen someone get so over as heel in just 1 week. For that matter, Maven went from so-so to full-on heel in less than 5 minutes. After he clocked Regal with the belt and celebrated in the ring, the boos just started pouring down from the heavens and you could tell he was loving every second of it.
