Tonight, Eric Bischoff stated that the superstars in the Elimination Chamber match would have to win their match tonight to stay in the main event at New Years Revolution, and the person who won their match the quickest would get to go last in the chamber, thus improving their changes of winning. Orton tonight came out proud and ready and then his opponent came to the ring.

It's an all-Mercy Drive match if I'm not mistaken. Chris Jericho's 10:47 is the time to beat. The match starts and Maven is still wearing the pink and yellow tights. Maven backs Orton in the corner and slugs him. Orton charges into a go-behind and a waistlock. Maven gets a headlock. Orton runs the ropes and hits a headlock. Orton leapfrogs Maven a couple of times and hits a dropkick. Orton goes up perhaps for the cross body, but Maven knocks him off theh top to the apron. They slug it out and Maven uses a thumb to the eye. Maven dropkicks Orton down to the floor. And Maven sends Orton into the steel steps. Maven puts Orton back in and covers right away for two. Maven goes to mounted punches. Maven mocks Orton's goofy pose and goes back to the punches. Maven lines Orton up for a dropkick, and knocks him down with it for two. Maven goes to a chinlock. Orton gets to his feet and elbows out of it. Orton runs the ropes... right into a back elbow, and Maven covers for two. Maven goes back to the chinlock. Orton gets to his knees, so Maven uses one arm to try and beat him down. That slows Orton down a bit. Orton starts to get to his feet and elbows out, but once again, Maven gets the forearms. Maven dumps Orton at the 3:30 mark. Maven tries to bodyslam Orton onto the steel steps, but Orton sneaks out the back door and hits a Russian leg sweep on the floor. Orton rolls into the ring. Solid "Randy" chant lasts about 10 seconds. Maven gets to the apron, where Orton attacks by laying him out with his two feet on the second rope and hitting a DDT into the ring! Maven bails. Orton YELLS REALLY LOUDLY and hits a baseball slide. He puts Maven back in and heads up top. Orton hits the cross body, which Maven rolls through with the tights for two. But Orton gets up first and lines it up. RKO attempt is blocked by Maven. Maven tries a backslide, but Orton reverses THAT to the RKO for the clean three.
