Maven vs. Shelton Benjamin
Royal Rumble Qualifying Match

Benjamin enters the ring as we come back from commercial break, still with the Intercontinental Championship around his waste, for a Royal Rumble qualifying match. Maven comes out to the ring and the crowd is already hot at the young protege. Jim Ross and The King tell the viewers about how Maven lost twice last night.

Maven quickly goes to the attack and states last night didn't count. Maven hits some hard right hands in the corner to Benjamin and swings him around but Benjamin counters and a whiip to the corner on Maven. Benjamin mounts to the top rope but Maven counters with a low blow to Benjamin on the top rope. Maven hits a neckbreaker and goes for a cover. Bejamin kicks out. Maven puts Benjamin's head in the wrenchlock. The crowd begins to change "Maven Sucks" as it quickly aggetates Maven. Benjamin gets to his feet. Arm drag takedown by Benjamin. Shelton hits the ropes but Maven hits a dropkick to the knees. Benjamin gets to his feet. Hard right hands by Shelton and an over-the-head toss and then a stinger splash by Benjamin in the corner. Shelton goes for the T-Bone suplex. Maven counters and says "not tonight" as Shelton goes for his signature 360 ensuguri kick, but then again another T-Bone suplex. He connects and dow goes Maven and Shelton picks up the win and he is going to the Royal Rumble. Apparently Maven isn't.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin via pinfall (1:47)
