Sunday Night HeAt Report 02/20/05

Maven vs. Val Venis.

The start:

Maven’s entrance was greeted with drowning boo’s! Val Venis came out to his regular “Hey we know that guy!” pop.

As soon as Val hit the ring, Maven started to run his mouth. Val gave his towel to woman in the crowd and then the match started (huge Maven sucks chants!) Val was the early aggressor with hard right hands and a hard lock-up which almost forced Maven out of the ring. Val continued his onslaught, hitting a side russian leg sweep which was followed up with a pose and a 2 count. Val had everything going his way when he started to hit Maven with successive clotheslines, followed up with knees to the gut. Out of desperation, Maven had to go oldskool and poke Val in the eye.

Mid match:

The momentum started to swing Maven’s way after hitting a HARD snap suplex on the former adult movie star! Maven then worked on Val’s back by stomping, kneeing, and wrenching on Venis’ lower back. Maven locked in a modified camel clutch which had Val in agony. The crowd started to get into the match by giving their support to the former intercontinental champion. Val managed to break free and then all hell broke loose!


The end:

Val was on a rampage, hitting Maven with rights and lefts which had the first male Tough Enough winner reeling like bamby on ice. Val wanted to finish the match, after hitting a body slam he started to climb to the top rope. Val went for the “Money shot” but Maven rose his knees up… Val was in agony and Maven went into stalk mode, Maven picked up the win after hitting his new devastating back breaker.

Winner: Maven


After the match, Maven snatched Val’s towel from the young lady in the crowd which resulted in an encore of boo’s!
