A Sneak Peek at the future of MavenHuffman.com

Greetings Maven fans! I hope this message is received well by everyone. First off, I want to point out some changes that have taken place to MavenHuffman.com over the past week. As many of you may have noticed, all WWEMaven.com logos and art have been removed from the website with the exception of the Featured Photo. All WWE copyright comments have been removed except for the ones on the Media Page and the Photo Archive, where WWE content is still housed on the website. It's basically back to late 2003 for the website as all WWEMaven.com symbolance is gone and MavenHuffman.com is more and more apparent once again.

Those changes however are small in comparison for what's to come on the new site. Before I go off into a rant, I should first let everyone know this: Yes, I have spoken to Maven since his release. No, I don't know of his future plans, yet, but hope to very soon. In addition to that, I would like to see if we can have Maven on for a Round 4 exclusive interview for the website before the end of August. Now onto changes with the site. As many of you know, MavenHuffman.com has come a long way in the past 4 years, spanning Maven's entire World Wrestling Entertainment career. Now that that chapter has closed, I am looking to re-inventing exactly what MavenHuffman.com is. Currently it's a website for a former-WWE Superstar and a base for fans to view media, photos and more of their favorite former-WWE superstar, with the exception of the forums which is a whole different group all together. The site being more "wrestling-based" may change in the coming weeks as I move closer to making this a more "personal" and "in-depth" website for Maven Huffman.

Some may ask, "Why worry about the site now that he is gone from WWE, especially if you don't get paid for running the site?" I have heard this several times already just in the short period since Maven's release. The answer is simple: "I do it for his fans." I also do it because while I am a fan just like the rest of you, I consider Maven a friend. From the time I met him in Indiana at an HWA TV taping, to the time he lost his mother to cancer, I feel that I was in some shape, form or fashion - he deserves a site like this and so do his fans. I would like to consider this website one of the most professional and most in-depth wrestler websites on the internet - hands down. But I want it to become more.

Getting back to the website, I have't laid out all of the future plans for the site in my head just yet. I do know this much - the site will be overhauled completely. I hope to focus more on Maven the person, athlete, and whatever else his future may bring, in addition to his wrestling career. Some might think this is a way of me hinting at Maven not returning to wrestling and that he is pursuing a different career. While I can't confirm or deny any of that, I am simply preparing the site for changes that may already be in the works.

In a short time, I hope to build new features to the website that benefit on the marketability of Maven - something the WWE didn't capitalize on. My hopeful plans include an online store that specializes in everything from t-shirts to mousepads, clocks to coasters and mugs to autographs. Everything Maven fans wanted from the WWE will finally be available via MavenHuffman.com - at least that's my hope. I have yet to confirm any of this with Maven, or the legal availability of his namesake in regards to his WWE contract and their trademarks, but again, this is my future vision for the site. Furthermore, I would like for the website to take on more of a "publicist-type" role, as I truly believe it has for the past 4 years. When Maven has wanted to speak out, you've heard it on this website. When something significant has happened in Maven's career, you've heard it on this website. Not to go on and on, but this site is a personal domain so to speak and I hope to emphasize that in the near future.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for the website, please drop me a line at michael@mavenhuffman.com and give me your thoughts. I am always looking for new and creative ideas for the website to help keep it fresh for dedicated fans and new fans alike. Until next time, God Bless.

P.S. Hopefully the next time you hear from me on this website is to announce Maven's future plans or to announce an upcoming interview with the man himself. So until then...
